This Privacy Policy explains what information MediaListory collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account data: email address, username, and password (stored securely by our authentication provider).
Profile data: optional details such as display name and avatar.
Activity data: your game lists, statuses, scores, custom lists, and follows.
Technical data: basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use information

We use your information to provide and maintain your account, display your collections and social features, secure the platform, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-party services

We rely on Neon for authentication (Neon Auth) and database hosting, and on TMDB, Kitsu, and the IGDB API (a Twitch service) for movie, show, anime, and game data. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies.

4. Data storage and security

Passwords are handled by Neon Auth and are never stored in plain text. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

5. Your choices

You can update your profile information at any time from the profile page. You may request deletion of your account through the project's support channels; deleting your account removes your lists and profile data.

6. Cookies and local storage

The app uses browser local storage to keep you signed in. It does not use third-party advertising trackers.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
